The Accommodations
Plantation Beach Club is a Hilton Grand Vacations Resort located in the larger resort area of Indian River Plantation, a 200-acre resort located in the heart of Martin County on Hutchinson Island.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom condominium. All of the units have an ocean view, full kitchen amenities, with en suite bedrooms. This resort is affording you some of the best views of the most beautiful beaches on the Treasure Coast.
As you enter the property you immediately feel as if you have come into something special. There is a theme of dark woods, rattan and a tropical motif with pineapples. This reflects the property’s origins as a pineapple plantation years ago. Imagine you are immersing yourself in a tropical paradise as you arrive onto the property.
Immediately as you enter you will find a master suite with a full bathroom and jetted tub.
The living area is spacious with additional sleeping accommodations. The windows slide open to allow for a full ocean view and breezes. There is a screened in porch as well with a table and lounge chairs.
The kitchen had everything you needed from a coffee station to a full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, disposal, and stove.
In this particular unit, the second bedroom is located downstairs and has its own bathroom. There is also a laundry area with a washer and dryer.
The Beaches of Plantation Beach Club
Photos can not even really do it justice. We have lived on the Treasure Coast for almost 40 years and my husband is a native. I had never been to this area of Hutchinson Island to experience their beaches. We did not know what we were missing!
Needless to say, I was impressed. Less than 40 miles away we had a completely different experience here. There is a sandbar running parallel to this property that creates, what Floridians call, a bathtub beach.
This is not the famous Bathtub Reef Beach just a couple of miles up the road from the resort but it still creates the same result. A gully of clear, crystal blue water perfect for swimming and snorkeling. You can tell the bathtub area in between the waves.
No matter what plans we had during the day we made sure we were back on the beach by 2 PM every day. The wildlife here is amazing. There were birds diving for fish usually starting around 3 PM every day. We would also have a huge hawk fly over us and pick up his dinner right in front of us! He eluded my camera. Maybe next time!
The Amenities
On the property itself there is a large pool with a hot tub and grilling area. Every room over looks the pool or you can hang out and enjoy the moonlight or sunrise here.
Every Wednesday, you will find Mandy hosting a wine and cheese party for the guests! Mandy and the other employees are like a family and have been hosting many of these folks for years. It is an opportunity for the guests to mingle, reconnect or get to know one another.
In addition, Hilton Grand Vacations includes the other amenities located on the larger Indian River Plantation Resort. These include a golf club, gym, tennis courts and a competition level pool. There are is also a restaurant and tiki bar area for lunch.
The course is an 18-hole executive style golf course that spans from the river to the ocean. In fact, it is so close to the ocean you can hear it’s crashing waves and feel the sea breeze as you play.

What a beautiful place to stay! The lack of crowds is a real plus for me, along with staff that has been there long enough to really know the resort (I’ve been places where it was tough to get questions answered as most folks were hired on for the busy season then let go).

As always a fabulous trip! This is my kind of vacation destination, have to say the Florida heat makes that pool look very inviting especially in the evening (I adore night swimming) and a wine and cheese tasting, mmmmm. Surely that living room is beach themed, yet it looks to me to be seventies themed. I like vintage styles, too. You have captured some beautiful images of the colors of the sky.
It is totally beach themed…. not 70’s. The furniture was really comfortable too. My husband was really sick on this trip. Actually, we both were but he was worse. I had to sleep on the couch and it was so comfy. It was nice to have good quality furniture!
