Maybe you are wondering why you need an Adrenal Cocktail Recipe. Unfortunately, many people do not think about their Adrenals, their function, or how they affect energy levels. Many doctors do not, either.
An Adrenal cocktail is a drink composed of nutrients that naturopaths recognize to relieve symptoms related to Adrenal Fatigue, which can increase stress hormones. In addition, it can raise mineral levels and supports your body’s Adrenal glands. The Adrenal Cocktail is a great alternative that can commonly be composed of orange juice, cream of tartar, and sea salt, but the recipe may differ.
What Doctors Say
According to the Mayo Clinic, Adrenal fatigue isn’t an accepted medical condition and can not be diagnosed. Instead, it is a lay term applied to a collection of nonspecific symptoms, such as body aches, fatigue, nervousness, sleep disturbances, and digestive problems. However, many have found relief from their symptoms with the Adrenal Cocktail.
To obtain normal Adrenal function, doctors recommend balancing protein, healthy fats, and high-quality, nutrient-dense carbohydrates. Increase your vegetable intake to get the necessary amount of vitamins and minerals. Also, include foods high in vitamin C, B vitamins (especially B-5 and B-6), and magnesium to help support healthy Adrenal glands and healthy Adrenal gland function. Many doctors and healthcare professionals believe that lifestyle changes and removing stressful situations are the only way to help with these symptoms.
The signs and symptoms of Adrenal fatigue may include:
- Fatigue
- Body aches
- Unexplained weight loss
- Low blood pressure
- Lightheadedness
- Loss of body hair
- Skin discoloration (hyperpigmentation)
- Weakened immune system
Fight or flight from times of stress pretty much sums up the cause according to most naturopaths and holistic health care practitioners. Chronic stress can burn you out and cause your Adrenal Gland to become sluggish, and this has a critical role in our bodies, like Cortisol production!
- 4 oz of fresh orange juice, preferably fresh squeezed and organic, but not necessary.
- 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp of Redmond’s Real Salt® (Sea Salt)
This unique combination of ingredients is an excellent way for your cells to absorb the potassium and valuable vitamins your body needs. We do not recommend a Vitamin C powder: Only a whole food Vitamin C. So why do these ingredients help to restore your Adrenal gland?
What are Adrenal Glands?
The Adrenals control our stress-related hormones. They also manage blood pressure stabilization, glucose storage, converting food to a usable form of energy, inflammatory reactions, and immune response to pathogens.
Adrenal Fatigue is when our Adrenals no longer respond to stress in the right way! This can have a detrimental impact on our hormones and Adrenal health. Many in the medical community are starting to acknowledge the role our Adrenal Gland plays in our overall health. But do you want another prescription?
Why is the Adrenal Cocktail so important? Potassium! But not only that. It has the co-factors needed to absorb the Potassium into the cell! Potassium and other minerals need to have co-factors that will help the cell absorb the minerals. This is why getting your minerals from food rather than supplements is essential. Starting a new mineral supplement, you will need to know which co-factors are required for the mineral to perform correctly and get absorbed by your cells!
Not only is the Adrenal Cocktail an excellent pick-me-up for those with Adrenal Fatigue, but it is also pretty easy to make.
You can purchase the Cream of Tartar and Redmonds on Amazon in more significant amounts to save money. But to get started, head to the grocery store and pick up these simple ingredients.
If you are not interested in making the Adrenal Cocktail from scratch every day, Jigsaw has a prepared product. It is more economical to make it yourself. You can find other health-related products to restore your mineral deficiency here.
Recommendations
It is suggested that you start with one Adrenal Cocktail a day, start, and see how your body reacts. It is also essential that you take the Adrenal Cocktail away from food. Most will take it at 10 AM and 2 PM to raise their electrolyte levels.

- You may substitute Wholefood Vitamin C for ~1/2 a fresh squeezed Lime or Lemon. You will want the highest concentration of vitamin c.
- You may substitute Potassium Bicarbonate for Potassium Gluconate or Potassium Chloride. Please adjust the quantity to ensure you are getting 375mg of Potassium.

Some will also use 8 oz of Coconut Water, Coconut Cream, and Coconut Milk in place of the Cream of Tartar and orange juice.
If your Adrenal glands are fatigued from a stress response, it may be possible that caffeine can cause your adrenals to overwork to make more cortisol and burns out your glands. This is because caffeine stimulates neuron activity in the brain, in which neurons send messages to the pituitary gland to stimulate the Adrenal glands, which then produce adrenaline and cortisol.
Some things are a mystery to doctors. However, this recipe has helped many who have been suffering from vague symptoms that negatively affect their life.
